To Become a Productive Member of the Healthcare Community
Provide education which develops the potential of each student to become a responsible, productive member of society, and functional within the workforce in accordance with the Angio Medical Assisting Institute’s mission statement.
To Display Course Competency
Provide competent entry-level medical assistants who have shown competency in the three learning domains; cognitive, psychomotor, and affective.
To Become a Credentialed Professional
Prepare students to function in the varied areas of medical assisting. Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared to sit for a Medical Assistant Certification exam to become a certified Medical Assistant.
OUR FACILITIES
Student Experience
Our classes are small allowing for more personalized instruction. They are advanced, moving at a brisk pace, but slow enough to allow for the fundamental knowledge and skills needed. Our lab areas mimic actual exam rooms with up-to-date equipment and supplies. All practicums will be hands-on clinical in nearby physician’s offices with knowledgeable preceptors working alongside the student.

Complete physical assessments within scope of practice on patients of all ages
Demonstrate proper care for patients with a normal state of health
Demonstrate proper care for patients outside of homeostasis

Administer medications correctly and with confidence
Perform venipuncture and blood collection with confidence
Collect various body specimens and perform CLIA waived test with confidence

What do I need to do to qualify?
You need;
- High School diploma or GED
- Complete an enrollment application
- Pass pre-test
- Provide details on why you want to be a Medical Assistant
How do I enroll?
All prospective students must complete the application and all of the required documents listed on our Enroll Page.
Will I be able to get a medical assistant position after graduation?
What is your COVID-19 policy?
Angio Medical Assisting Institute (AMAI) encourages all students, faculty and staff to have COVID vaccination prior to attending classes. Throughout the duration of the program, students will be responsible to self-evaluate and promptly report any symptoms to AMAI faculty. If symptoms associated with COVID-19 are present students will be required to quarantine or isolate. Please read our COVID-19 policy under the “Registrar” tab above.
Is there a fee to apply?
This is an apprenticeship program. Application fee is not required.
